Lippencott Alpacas to hold open house

September 12, 2013
Getting up close and personal will be one of the highlights at the Lippencott Alpaca open house Sept. 28 and 29.

Lippencott Alpacas will hold its fifth open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Sept. 28 and 29.

Those attending will be able to view handling, training and feeding techniques with alpacas and enjoy the “amazing knitting chair” for all ages.

Sweaters will be 10 percent off both days and one can learn to to knit, spin and crochet for free with the Lippencott knitting group.

A shearing demonstration will be Sept. 29 only and anyone can become a model for the alpaca fashion show.

Food and drink vendors will include Moore’s Hot Dogs, Thistlethwaite Vineyards and Ann’s Apple Pies.

Lippencott Alpacas is at 265 Meadowbrook Road, Waynesburg, two miles from the Greene County Country Club and five miles from the Ruff Creek exit of Interstate 79.
