A Zumbathon benefit will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sept. 28 at Bower Hill Elementary School gymnasium, 424 Bower Hill Road, Venetia. The event honors Geri Whalen of Venetia. Chartiers-Houston High School marching band will host its second annual band festival at 7 p.m. Oct. 5. at the high school stadium. The festival will feature high school bands from South Fayette, West Greene, Ringgold, Charleroi, and Keystone Oaks. The Pittsburgh Steeline, known for their performances at Heinz Field, and the Westminster College Titan marching band also will be featured. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
