CANONSBURG

Cellphone stolen: Devonna Reese of 616 Euclid Ave. told Canonsburg police Saturday that her cellphone was stolen.


Copper lines cut: Sylvia Koupiaris of 421 Giffin Ave. told Canonsburg police Sunday that her home was burglarized and that copper water lines were cut and wiring removed.


CANTON

Public drunkenness charge: Carmena S. Brooks, 41, of Washington, was cited for public drunkenness at 4:55 p.m. Sunday after she was allegedly seen pushing a shopping cart down Weirich Avenue and swearing at passing motorists, according to state police.


CHARLEROI

Assault, harassment charges: Donald Payne, 25, of 315 Shady Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Sunday night by Charleroi Regional police for allegedly punching Jamie Santiago in the face and pushing her to the ground during a confrontation on Fallowfield Avenue. He was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward on charges of simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.


DONORA

Drug charges: Amber Jo Neidermeyer, 33, of 245 Meldon Ave., Donora, was arrested Saturday afternoon by Donora police on charges of possession of heroin and paraphernalia as well as tampering with evidence and hindering apprehension stemming from a traffic stop in the 200 block of Allen Avenue. Police said when they stopped her, she appeared to be stuffing heroin down her shorts. She reportedly told police the suspected drugs belonged to another woman. Neidermeyer was arraigned before District Judge Ethan Ward and placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.


JEFFERSON

Driver charged: Joel Schreiner, 27, of Avella, was charged Monday with careless driving stemming from a Sept. 5 crash on Shades of Death Road, Jefferson. Schreiner told police he fell asleep at the wheel of his vehicle, which went off the road and hit a tree.


MT. PLEASANT

Heroin, paraphernalia charges: Ashley Nicole Finney, 24, of 19 Culley Lane, Mt. Pleasant, was charged Friday by Mt. Pleasant police with possession of heroin and paraphernalia stemming from a Sept. 17 incident at her home. Police said five stamp bags were turned over after Finney was taken into custody by a state parole officer. Police said she had absconded from the facility where she had been placed by court order. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Valarie Costanzo.


NORTH STRABANE

Faces charges: Robert Dowling, 45, of 103 Wayne St., Claysville, will be charged with leaving the scene of a crash, failure to notify police and abandoning his vehicle after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into a tree off McDowell Lane about 7:20 p.m. Friday. Dowling reportedly told North Strabane police he was attempting to pass a slower vehicle when he saw an oncoming vehicle, so he swerved off the road. He told police he then hitchhiked to his home. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


PETERS

Criminal mischief: A trailer with a speed-calculating sign owned by the township was tipped over while positioned in the 600 block of Bower Hill Road before 8:55 p.m. Friday, township police said. The trailer and digital sign fell onto the road, resulting in damage to the trailer. The township is having the sign checked. No value was listed. This is the second time this year the trailer and sign have been tipped over, police said. Anyone with information is asked to call police during regular working hours at 724-942-5030.


Vandalism: A 25-foot Bradford pear tree valued at $300 was cut down near the end zone at Hoffbauer Field in Peterswood Park, township police said. The park maintenance supervisor said the tree was cut between Friday evening and early Saturday. The report was made at 8:21 a.m. Saturday. Police believe a chain saw was used to cut down the tree, which was left where it fell. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-942-5030 during regular work hours.


SOUTH STRABANE

Purse stolen: Sarah Borkowski of Lynn Portal Road, Canton Township, reported her Coach bag containing personal items was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked at Tanger Outlet Sunday, South Strabane police said.


Vehicle entered: Shannon Grainey of Mercer and Christa Calpago of Verona told South Strabane police Saturday that their travel bags were stolen from a vehicle while it was parked at Texas Roadhouse, Strabane Square.


WASHINGTON

Officer assaulted: Shaquan Yarbrough, 18, of 279 Locust Ave., Washington, is charged in a summons by city police with simple assault, reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, underage drinking, disorderly conduct and harassment stemming from a disturbance at Washington High School Stadium, 437 Tyler Ave., earlier this month, court records show. Police accuse Yarbrough of injuring an officer’s finger during a scuffle before he broke free and ran off. During the foot chase, he also allegedly elbowed an 11-year-old girl.


Theft report: John Banko told city police about 1:15 a.m. Monday that a lawnmower and weed trimmer had been stolen from a shed at Elks Lodge, 137 E. Maiden St.


Theft report: Maxine Burt of Houston told city police about 6:15 p.m. Sunday that her purse was stolen from her room at Washington Hospital.


Theft report: Tyler Givens of 655 Allison Ave. reported at 9:20 a.m. Saturday that a global-positioning system and satellite radio valued at $400 were stolen from his vehicle parked at his residence, city police said.


Assault report: Danielle Bugaile of 450 1/2 Broad St., Washington, reported she had been assaulted by a man wearing a black shirt and ball cap while she walked along railroad tracks in the 800 block of West Chestnut Street about 9:20 p.m. Friday, city police said. She said she was able to fight off the man.


Drug charges: Gina M. Kaskie, 33, of 1007 Tomahawk Drive, Washington, is charged in a summons by city police with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, court records show. Police said they found nine stamp bags of suspected heroin in her pants pocket when they approached her about 10 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Avenue and West Hallam Street.


DUI charge in crash: Christopher M. Martin, 22, of 22 S. Mary St., Houston, is charged with driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a minor two-vehicle crash about 7:30 a.m. Aug. 20 at Henderson and Jefferson avenues, city police said.
