Police beat Oct. 16
Retail theft arrest: Tiffany Rose Lucy, 29, of 353 Pennsylvania Ave., North Charleroi, was arraigned Monday on an arrest warrant on a charge of retail theft. She was charged by Southwest Regional police for allegedly stealing sleep aids from Family Dollar, 105 Wilson Road, on July 30. She was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Two charged: Albert Johnson, 34, of 451 Highfield Ave., Canonsburg, and Tara Bates, 28, of 121 N. Main St., Houston, will each be charged with harassment after allegedly punching each other during a confrontation Monday night at 209 S. Central Ave., Canonsburg police said.
Break-in attempt: Christine Wallace-Jolly told Canonsburg police Monday that an attempt was made to break into her Highfield Avenue home by prying open the door.
Probation warrant: Charles Swoger, 23, of Centerville, was placed in Washington County jail Sunday on a probation warrant stemming from a traffic stop in which he was a passenger, Centerville police said.
Warrant arrests: Blake Tretinik, 29, of Centerville, and Frank Auld, 40, of Marianna, were taken into custody Wednesday by Centerville police after they were spotted in Richeyville. The two men were wanted on warrants in Westmoreland County on a charge of receiving stolen property after allegedly selling items stolen from burglaries in Centerville at a pawn shop in that county. They were turned over to Westmoreland County officials.
Drug arrest: Megan Styles, 30, who police said is homeless, was arrested on charges of possession of paraphernalia and a controlled substance stemming from a traffic stop Monday afternoon at the Donora-Monessen Bridge, Donora police said. She reportedly had a hypodermic needle with heroin, several used needles and a crack pipe. She was arraigned before District Judge Valarie Costanzo and placed in Washington County jail on $2,500 bond.
Assault charge: Eric Gordon Stock, 43, of 4067 Equity Drive, Washington, was charged by North Franklin police with simple assault and harassment. Police said Stock fought with his 15-year-son, giving him a concussion, a cut behind his ear and other injuries at his ex-wife’s residence in North Franklin Township Oct. 7. Charges will be sent by summons through the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Vehicle damaged: Nicholas Openbrier of Meadow Lands told South Strabane police Monday that his pickup truck was damaged while it was parked in the lot at Bob Evans, Oak Spring Road.
Retail theft: Danielle Harps, 26, of 984 Jefferson Ave., Washington, was charged by city police with retail theft for allegedly stealing $215 worth of cologne from Rite Aid on Jefferson Avenue Oct. 7. Charges will be sent by summons through the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Theft charge: Christopher Nelson, 35, of 83 Pigeon Creek Road, Eighty Four, was charged by city police with theft and receiving stolen property for allegedly selling a laptop that had been stolen to the owner of EZ Cash Advance Oct. 7. Charges will be sent by summons through the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Stolen vehicle: A woman who lives in the 700 block of Addison Street reported to city police that her door had been kicked in Monday about 5 p.m., and her PlayStation system was stolen. Police have no suspects.
Burglary: A man who lives in the 400 block of East Hallam Avenue but had been staying outside the county reported to city police that his vehicle had been stolen in the past month. Also gone were his washer, dryer, television, stove, dishwasher, laptop, PlayStation and clothing.
Theft: Two women reported to city police that personal items, including cash and a debit card, were stolen from a purse and lockbox at Citizens Library Saturday.
