Greene woman wins car in multi-state raffle
Catherine Surber of Waynesburg was the grand prize winner in the Chevy Youth Baseball giveaway. Raffle tickets were sold for $5 each in 14 Pony baseball districts across multiple states for a chance to win a Chevy Traverse or one of 28 high-definition televisions. Proceeds from ticket sales went to support Pony baseball. Surber purchased the winning ticket from the Waynesburg Pony Baseball Association. Surber is pictured with her husband, Dustin, at left, and Richie Bortz, the owner of Bortz Chevrolet in Waynesburg, who presented her with the keys to her new vehicle.
