: Police beat Oct. 31

Burglary: Escape Nails at 1470 E. High St. was broken into between 8 p.m. Saturday and 8:20 a.m. Sunday and $100 was stolen from the cash register, state police said. A concrete block was thrown through the front door to gain entry to the building.


Theft: Copper cable was stolen from a gas well site on Hartley Road between 2:29 p.m. Oct. 24 and 6:33 p.m. Oct. 26, state police said. The property is owned by Chevron North America of Smithfield.


Theft: A tailgate for a 1987 Chevrolet truck was stolen from property at 353 Washington Road between Jan. 22 and Friday, state police said. The property is owned by Earl Welsh of Waynesburg.


Generator stolen: A MTD 5,500-watt generator was stolen from a shed at 124 Schley Street between Oct. 19 and 23, Southwest Regional Police said. The property is owned by Charles Raber of Blacksville. Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call Southwest Regional Police at 724-929-8484.
