Police beat Nov. 6
Three charged: Jennifer C. Horak, 21, of Connellsville; Shane Neugebauer, 18, of Pittsburgh, and Landen Edward Donofrio, 18, of Venetia, were charged Thursday by California University of Pennsylvania police after officers received a complaint of the odor of marijuana coming from a room at Carter Hall Oct. 25. Police also found open cans of beer in the room. Horak was charged with possession of marijuana, furnishing alcohol to minors and disorderly conduct. Neugebauer and Donofrio were each charged with disorderly conduct and underage drinking. Donofrio has pleaded guilty to his summary charges. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.
Assault, harassment charges: Jesse James Cassidy, 28, of 1892 Route 2023, Carroll, was arrested Monday by Carroll police on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly choking his live-in girlfriend, Britney M. Behanna, during a confrontation at their home. He was arraigned before District Judge Joshua Kanalis and placed in Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
Theft, mischief charges: Drew J. McGuinness, 23, 6255 Route 88, Finleyville, was charged Thursday by North Strabane police with conspiracy and theft for allegedly stealing steel ingots from Ametek, 1085 Route 519, Sept. 6. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Disorderly conduct charge: Maribell L. Colby, 70, will be charged with a misdemeanor offense of disorderly conduct and a summary offense of harassment after she yelled at the neighbors and shined a flashlight in their windows at odd times of the day and night, township police said. Colby, of Amons Drive, was warned not to annoy the neighbors at noon Monday, and three hours later, officers were called again when she was screaming and yelling, police said.
Saws stolen: Various concrete saws were stolen from the work yard of Hilltop Paving, Presto-Sygan Road, between Oct. 24 and Saturday, township police said. The saws are valued at $1,600. Police have a suspect, but no charges have been filed.
Two charged: Manuel N. Johnson, 38, of 39 Linn Ave., Washington, and Felicia Meriweather, 39, of 121 Hall Ave., Washington, were charged Monday by South Strabane police with misdemeanor retail theft after they allegedly stole clothing from Walmart, Trinity Point. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Computer, speaker stolen: David E. Glendenning, 41, of 601 Park Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with retail theft after he allegedly stole a computer and speaker from Walmart, Trinity Point, Oct. 29. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Retail theft charge: Amanda M. Ranson, 24, of 1231 Brush Run Road, Amwell Township, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with retail theft for allegedly stealing items from Walmart, Trinity Point, Oct. 28. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Clothing stolen: Jonna Jo Swisher, 34, of 295 Donnan Ave., Washington, was charged Monday by South Strabane police with retail theft after she allegedly stole sweatshirts and sweatpants from Kohl’s, Strabane Square, Oct. 29. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft charges: Christopher Nestor will be charged with theft after Washington police said he stole $448 worth of car parts while working at Advance Auto Parts at 354 E. Maiden St. Police said Nestor, 40, of Marianna, stole the auto parts on two separate occasions before selling them.
