Police beat Nov. 26
Two assaulted: Robert A. Seaton, 30, of Bridgeville, and Kenneth Hayman Jr., 33, of North Strabane Township, were assaulted by several people who pulled up to them on Murdock Street in a black sport utility vehicle Saturday, Canonsburg police said. Hayman was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.
Wallet stolen: Jessica Chronister of 120 Oak Spring Road told police Saturday that her wallet containing $10 and Social Security cards was stolen from her home.
Assault arrest: Tracy Lee Washington, 48, of 530 Baird Ave., Canton, was arrested Monday by state police on charges of simple assault and harassment for allegedly slapping Janice Bedilion in the face during a confrontation at his home early Sunday. He was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released.
ATV, trailer stolen: Jerry Lewis Hefner of French Creek, W.Va., told North Franklin police last week that his black trailer with a 2012 Polaris Quad Razor on it was stolen from the parking lot at the Ramada Inn, 1170 W. Chestnut St.
Minor injury: Wendy S. Wolfe, 45, of 1081 Park Ave., Washington, suffered back spasms after her vehicle was backed into by a vehicle driven by Heidi Filer, 37, of 9 Hilltop Acre, Washington, in the parking lot of Trinity High School Wednesday, North Franklin police said. Wolfe was treated at the scene by ambulance personnel.
Assault arrest: Brent W. Hendershot, 28, of 116 Lane St., Bentleyville, will be charged by North Franklin police with simple assault, possession of marijuana, harassment and disorderly conduct after police said he almost hit a security guard at Washington Crown Center with his vehicle Saturday. He also struck a stop sign while leaving the mall, police said. Hendershot was placed in Washington County jail on a probation violation. Charges will be filed at the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
DUI crash: Dylan S. Huseman, 21, of 2273 Belmont Ave., Washington, will be charged by North Franklin police with driving under the influence of alcohol, trespass by motor vehicle, careless driving and criminal mischief stemming from a crash early Sunday in the 1700 block of South Main Street. He reportedly drove his pickup truck through two yards, went down an embankment and through two more yards before getting stuck. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than 1 1/2 times the 0.08 percent limit presumed for intoxication. His passenger, Zachary Bitz, 18, of 112 Cynthia Drive, Canonsburg, was charged with underage drinking after he reportedly admitted to drinking a few beers at a party. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
One injured: Danielle Manchas was taken to Canonsburg Hospital following a two-vehicle accident at 1:02 p.m. Saturday, township police said. Dirk Johnson, 44, of 129 E. Highland Ave., Ebensburg, told police he was driving north on Washington Road when Manchas, 19, of 136 Easy St., Uniontown, pulled from Center Church Road in an attempt to make a left turn onto Washington Road. Police said her car struck the passenger side of his car. Johnson was not injured. Manchas had neck and facial pain.
Father arrested: William Luzier, 53, of 101 Brook Drive, was charged with simple assault following a fight with his 17-year-old daughter in their home at 10:13 p.m. Sunday, township police said. Luzier was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and was released on his own recognizance. Police said when officers arrived at the residence, the girl had cuts to her face, head and arm. She was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Luzier had scratches on his left eye and the top of his head. The girl was issued a citation for harassment. Washington County Children and Youth Services was called, police said.
Theft: Two construction trailers owned by Kinsey Construction, 767 Bebout Road, Venetia, were forcibly entered between Thursday and when the theft was reported at 10:29 a.m. Monday, township police said. The trailers were at a construction site at 339 E. McMurray Road on the former Anthony Farm, police said. Missing were three cut-off saws and two hammer drills with a total value of $5,500.
Woman injured: Alice Randall, 84, was injured Saturday afternoon after she was struck by her own vehicle after getting out to remove mail from her mailbox on Kettle Drive, South Strabane police said. She was knocked down and hit her head on the ground. Her vehicle, which was in drive, continued down the road, over a hill and into several trees. Randall was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment.
Two cited after fight: Beatricia Meriweather, 22, of 131 Hall Ave., Washington, and Keisha Woods, 26, of 267 Lincoln Terrace, Washington, were cited for disorderly conduct following a fight in Lincoln Terrace at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, according to court documents filed at District Judge Robert Redlinger’s office.
Man accused of harassment: Jonathan Cornmesser, 38, of 15 Archer St., Canonsburg, was cited for harassment after Washington police said he was involved in an argument with a resident at Maple Terrace shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday.
