Police Beat Dec. 17
One injured: Adrian Denise Adams, 40, of 220 Elm St., Canonsburg, was injured when her vehicle crashed into the back of a pickup truck driven by Steven J. Venditti, 31, of 288 Maple Ridge Road, Canonsburg, on Pike Street Saturday, Canonsburg police said. Adams was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment. Blood was drawn to determine her blood-alcohol content, police said.
Decorations stolen: Sue Harouse of 133 E. Pike St. told Canonsburg police Friday that a child’s playhouse and a Santa Claus figure were stolen from her yard.
Drug charges: Patti Bahl, 39, of 418 Lincoln Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Friday by Charleroi Regional police on charges of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of paraphernalia. Police were serving her with another warrant at 1104 Meadow Ave. when they said they found a bag holding a brick of suspected heroin containing 50 stamp bags, four additional stamp bags and $466. Bahl was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Son arrested: Gregory Steven Sisul, 42, of 14 Wotring Road, Hopewell, was arrested Saturday night by state police after he allegedly assaulted his 66-year-old father, Steven E. Sisul, during a confrontation at the older man’s home. The two reportedly were arguing about a vehicle and the son living at home when Gregory Sisul allegedly began punching his father. He was in the basement when police arrived. Gregory Sisul was arraigned before District Judge Mark Wilson on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Driver injured: Lu Labang, 27, of Carnegie, was injured Sunday morning when her vehicle went off McDowell Lane and crashed into a tree, North Strabane police said. Labang was taken to Canonsburg Hospital for treatment.
Purse stolen: Carla J. Mankey of Strabane told North Strabane police her purse containing credit cards was missing from her vehicle over the weekend after she gave several people a ride from a Strabane bar.
Theft: Timothy Adams, 30, of 407 Second St., Vestaburg, was charged with theft after two people said Adams stole their Xbox 360 gaming system, three controllers and seven games from their home in the 300 block of Jefferson Avenue Dec. 10, city police said. Adams was charged by summons by District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Criminal mischief: Employees at Guardian Storage, 840 Jefferson Ave., reported damage to their display sign, city police said. Employees told police that surveillance video showed a man in a dark coat and jeans breaking the bottom half of the neon display Friday before running off. The damage was estimated at $675.
Stolen vehicle: A 2001 Buick Century was stolen from Valero, 98 Murtland Ave., on Sunday, city police said. The driver told police she left the vehicle running while she went in the store around 10:30 p.m.. When she came out, the vehicle was gone. Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle traveling toward Interstate 70. State police provided the name of a possible suspect. An investigation is ongoing.
