Police: Pa. gun shop shooting caught on video

SALTSBURG (AP) – State police say in a criminal complaint that a fatal shooting in a western Pennsylvania gun shop was captured on surveillance video.

Troopers from Indiana, Pa., revealed that in the complaint charging 43-year-old Jack Edmundson Jr., of Saltsburg, with criminal homicide.

They say Edmundson shot and killed 62-year-old Frank Petro inside Frank’s Gun & Taxidermy Shop in Saltsburg on Tuesday afternoon. According to the complaint, the video shows Edmundson grabbing a pistol from a display case and twice shooting Petro.

Police say Edmundson then started pouring a black powder and another fuel around the shop when Petro shot Edmundson in the leg. Police say that’s when Edmundson shot Petro in the face.

Edmundson also faces charges of attempted arson and aggravated assault and was hospitalized awaiting arraignment early Thursday.
