  • January 8, 2014

Peters Township School District canceled classes Wednesday because of a water main break, and a second reported break this afternoon has forced postponement of a benefit wrestling match to honor Doug Vitale.

The match has been rescheduled for Tuesday. Proceeds will benefit a fund established for Vitale, whose wife graduated from Peters Township High School. The couple will reside in Peters Township once a specially equipped home is complete.

Vitale was seriously wounded while a Marine fighting in Afghanistan.
