Winter weather advisory issued for area

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the area from midnight tonight until 6 p.m. Saturday. Snow is expected to begin falling after midnight and continue through Saturday, with the heaviest snow falling overnight through noon. A total of 2 to 4 inches is expected, along with wind gusts of up to 30 mph. The wind chill will be as low as minus 15 with temperatures of 1 to 6 degrees. Hazardous driving conditions are expected.
