Police beat Feb. 8
Warrant arrest: Shaun Cunningham 32, of 104 Linn Ave., Washington, was picked up Thursday night on a warrant on drug charges during a traffic stop by Canonsburg police on Pitt Street. The state police vice unit obtained the warrant on Cunningham last year, after he allegedly made a controlled buy of crack cocaine. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and released from Washington County jail after posting $1,000 of a $10,000 percentage bond. A preliminary hearing is schedule for Feb. 18 before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Trespass charge: Peter MacConachie, 48, who North Franklin police said is homeless, was charged Friday with defiant trespass after he was found sleeping in an utility room inside Days Inn, 1370 W. Chestnut St. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Fence damaged: Josie Hunt, 935 S. Main St., told North Franklin police Tuesday that her split-rail fence was damaged on her property.
Charged in DUI crash: David O. Densen, 60, of 210 Linden Road, North Strabane, was charged Wednesday by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs stemming from a two-vehicle crash Jan. 17 near Canon-McMillan High School. Toxicology tests showed Densen’s blood alcohol content was more than 1 1/2 times the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication. He also had marijuana in his system and was charged with the possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Trespass charge: Jesse Matthew Starr, 30, of East Pittsburgh, was charged Thursday night by state police at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino with criminal trespass after he was found at the casino when he was not permitted to be permitted at the facility. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Theft, trespass arrest: Angela Marie McKinley, 36, 127 McKean Ave., Donora, was arrested Thursday by South Strabane police with retail theft and criminal trespass after she reportedly stole $145 in items from Walmart, Trinity Point. She was banned from Walmart stores Dec. 31, 2011. She was arraigned before District Judge Jay Weller and released.
DUI, disorderly charges: Edrick V. Williams, 33, of 3 Anderson Drive, Washington, was charged Thursday by state police with DUI, disorderly conduct, failure to stay in his lane and stopping on the roadway. Police filed the charges after finding him urinating along the side of his vehicle parked partially on Interstate 70 near Murtland Avenue exit in South Strabane Jan. 17. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
Injured in crash: Jessica L. Boyd, 25, of Washington, was injured Wednesday when she crashed her vehicle into guard rails after it slid on an icy on Interstate 70 in Washington, state police said. Boyd, who was taken to Washington Hospital for treatment, will cited with driving too fast for conditions and failure to stay in her lane.
