SUNBURY (AP) – The FBI said it is willing to help investigate claims by a 19-year-old woman charged in a Pennsylvania murder case that she killed more than 20 other people.

Philadelphia FBI spokeswoman Carrie Adamowski said Sunday the agency was in contact with local police about Miranda Barbour and will offer any assistance they request.

Barbour said in a jailhouse interview with The Daily Item in Sunbury she previously killed at least 22 people across the country as part of her involvement in a satanic cult.

Barbour and her husband are charged with killing a stranger they allegedly lured through a Craigslist ad. Attorneys for both are seeking psychiatric evaluations for their clients.

A message left for Barbour’s attorney wasn’t returned Sunday.
