Heartbroken over animal abuse

  • February 20, 2014

Once again, I pick up the newspaper to read another heartbreaking and sickening story about animal abuse. This seems to be happening more and more. I can only imagine the ones we never hear about.

What is wrong with people? These are sick people with anger management problems, and the tip of the iceberg for other, even more serious problems. I wish there was a way of monitoring them so that anyone like this could never adopt or own another animal.

Animals are a long-term commitment not something to collect, neglect and abuse. The laws need to be stricter – fines and jail time, not just a slap on the wrist.

I do praise the animal control officers. God bless them for having to deal with these heartless monsters. There needs to be protection for these helpless animals. No animal deserves this.
