South Fayette’s Ging in region tournament

Shane Ging, a 138-pounder for South Fayette, was added to the PIAA Class AA Southwest Region Tournament this week. He replaces Damon Greenwald of Burrell, who was forced to pull out with a leg injury.

Ging was forced to forfeit for the seventh and final qualifying spot in the weight class when he suffered neck spasms in practice. Stephen Kotouch finished seventh in the weight class.

Greenwald defaulted twice after injuring the leg in a semifinal match with Jason Miller of Jefferson-Morgan in the semifinals and finished sixth.

In the NBA

DeMar DeRozan scored 16 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, and the Toronto Raptors won for the sixth time in seven games with a 99-93 victory over the injury-riddled Cleveland Cavaliers.

• Paul George scored 12 of his 20 points in the third quarter, Evan Turner had 13 points in his Pacers debut, and Indiana beat the Los Angeles Lakers 118-98.

In the NHL

Christian Ehrhoff scored twice, including the go-ahead goal with 44 seconds left, in lifting Buffalo to a 3-2 win over Carolina Tuesday night.
