Police beat March 7
Burglary: An industrial scientific gas monitor valued at $650 was stolen in a burglary at an office of Chesapeake Energy, 117 Locust St. Extension, Mt. Morris, between Jan. 27 and Feb. 28, said the Southwest Regional Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.
Disorderly conduct: Matthew Levi Howard, 34, of Rivesville, W.Va., was charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness following at incident at 10:57 p.m. Feb. 22 on Big Shannon Run Road, said Southwest Regional Police Department.
Warrant arrest: Waynesburg Borough police Wednesday arrested Nazjewa T. Trosper, 24, who is wanted on two bench warrants issued in Howard County, Md., for burglary, theft and other charges. Police were looking for Trosper after previously talking to him in regard to a suspicious person report but only later being given information regarding the warrants. Trosper was arrested walking on Greene Street without incident. He was arraigned before District Judge Lou Dayich and placed in Greene County jail to await extradition.
