Police: 3 hurt when vehicle slams into shoe store

WAYNE (AP) – Police say a man suspected of being under the influence injured three people when he drove a late model Cadillac into a shoe store in the Philadelphia suburbs.

WPVI-TV reported the incident occurred at a Famous Footwear store in Chester County Tuesday evening.

Police tell the station that the driver and the three people who were struck inside the store were taken to Paoli Hospital for treatment, and one was listed in serious condition.

Police say the driver will be held on suspicion of driving under the influence, and that the crash is under investigation.
