Police beat March 14
Jewelry, tools stolen: Jewelry and various tools were stolen from a house at 1010 Brush Run Road in Amwell Township between March 4 and 10, state police said.
Car window punched: Cory W. Davis, 28, of Monongahela, will be cited for criminal mischief after state police said he punched through a car window at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday while the vehicle was parked at Denny’s Roadhouse at 3431 Route 136 in Nottingham Township.
Charged in traffic stop: Southwest Regional police said Thursday that Timothy J. Davis, 42, of 1164 Country Club Road, Monongahela, was charged with aggravated assault, fleeing from police and reckless driving in connection with a traffic stop about 11 p.m. March 7 on Route 837. Police accuse Davis of nearly striking an officer as he drove away from police.
Man jailed: Jeffrey Crompton, 25, of 955 Bruce St., Washington, is charged by city police with aggravated assault, unlawful restraint, kidnapping and false imprisonment, court records show. Police accuse him of striking his girlfriend, Gina Sutton, several times in the head at his residence about 1:30 a.m. March 2 and then holding her against her will in his vehicle. Crompton is in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond after being arrested on a warrant Thursday and arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Items stolen: Clyde Neel of Muse reported to city police about 11:15 a.m. Wednesday that someone shattered the windshield on his vehicle and stole his wallet and $50 while the vehicle was parked in the 900 block of Allison Avenue.
