Simple assault: Billie Sue Fronzaglio, 37, of Donora, faces charges of simple assault, criminal trespass and harassment after she allegedly pushed her way into an apartment on Skyline Drive March 15 and assaulted a person during a domestic incident, borough police said.
Theft from shed: Clint J. Muniz, 22, of 575 Moore Road, Washington, was charged Tuesday by state police with theft and criminal trespass. Police said he entered a shed at 531 Fourth St., Marianna, owned by Keith Wright, and stole a number of items including two compressors, nail gun, drill, chain saw, coolers and tents March 20. One compressor was later found at California Fast Cash in California, where it and other items had allegedly been sold by Muniz and another man. Muniz was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Student charged: A Trinity Area High School student faces charges after North Franklin police said he brought illegal prescription drugs to school and began acting disorderly in the assistant principal’s office. Police said Drew M. Puskarich, 18, of 708 Banetown Road, Amwell, had eight Clonanze pills in his backpack, spit on the assistant principal’s desk and used profanity while discussing scheduling in the high school March 27. Puskarich was charged with possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct, police said.
Driver injured in crash: Lavern I. Provost, 25, of Avella, suffered moderate injuries when state police said she crashed her car on Route 844 near Buffalo Road in Hopewell Township at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said she was driving too fast and failed to negotiate a turn in the road.
Possible child luring attempt: Southwest Regional police are investigating a possible attempted child luring on Cardox Road. Police said a 16-year-old girl was walking Tuesday morning when a vehicle approached from behind, stopped and the driver asked if she needed a ride. She refused and the car left. The vehicle is an older, gold General Motors sport utility vehicle driven by an older white man with gray hair and a gray beard and wearing sunglasses. Man accused of assault: Joseph Plovic, 30, of 1286 Sycamore Ave., Washington, was charged with simple assault after city police said he punched his girlfriend in the face and chest before trying to choke her inside their residence shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday. Plovic was arraigned by District Judge Mark Wilson and taken to the Washington County jail on $5,000 bond.
Two cited for fighting: James Elliott, 51, of 430 ½ W. Chestnut St., Washington, and Lucas Stolze, 24, of Pitcairn, were both cited for harassment following a fight outside Elliott’s home about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, city police said.
Charged in crash: Tyree Jackson, 23, of 203 N. College St., Washington, is charged in a summons filed Wednesday by city police with accident involving unattended vehicle, harassment and making terroristic threats, court records show. Police accuse him of punching a man several times and driving off after their vehicles were involved in an accident about 2:45 p.m. Feb. 4 at Central and Ridge avenues.
