H.S. softball: No-hitters for J-M, Carmichaels pitchers

Madison Ludrosky threw a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and one walk to lead Jefferson-Morgan to a 14-0 Section 2-A girls softball win in five innings over California.


Ludrosky, Reagan Rush, Morgan Simkovic, Millgan Kendall, Morgan Gamle and Ludrosky all doubled for the Rockets (4-1, 5-1).


Tristan Lint took the loss for California (0-4, 0-4).


• Erica Burns struck out 10 and did not allow a hit in leading Carmichaels to a 2-0 victory over West Greene in a Section 2-A game.


Kayleigh Boosel drove in a run with a sacrifice fly for a 1-0 in the second. Natalie McNett got on on a fielder’s choice and came around to score on a sacrifice, single by Katie Mays and an error in the fourth for the Mikes (3-1, 5-1).


Bailey Benningwas the tough-luck loser for the Pioneers (3-1, 3-4), striking out nine, and not walking a batter.


• Jasmin Wadsworth went 4-for-4, drove in four runs and scored three times to help Beth-Center down Washington, 9-2, in a Section 2-AA game.


Wadsworth also had a double and triple for the Bulldogs (3-0, 3-2). Brooke Rusilko went 3-for-4 with two RBI and Alayna Mickoloff doubled. Winning pitcher Abby Gustovich doubled.


Washington fell to 0-4, 0-3 in the section.


• Hannah Gibbons hit two solo home runs to send Waynesburg past Bentworth, 9-3, in a Section 2-AA game.


Winning pitcher Jordan Moore had a three-run double for the Raiders (2-1, 3-6). Tiffany Ross and Shelby Hoy each had a double.


Aubree Yates, Micalea Danley and Maddy Alauzen each hit a double for Bentworth (2-2, 3-5).
