Washington Park School start times changing

  • April 15, 2014

Washington School Board has unanimously approved new start times beginning next year for intermediate and primary students at Washington Park Elementary School.

Students in kindergarten to third grade will attend school from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., while students in grades four through six will have classes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The decision to push back the start times about 30 minutes was designed to allow students more time at home in the mornings and give them additional time to prepare for school during poor weather.

The new class times will be in place for the 2014-15 school year.
