Route 51 to be restricted for bridge repairs

  • May 14, 2014

A section of Route 51 just south of Route 981 in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County will have intermittent 15-minute closures through Monday so emergency repairs can be done to an overhead railroad bridge that was struck by a tractor-trailer. Both the northbound and southbound lanes will be closed, the state Department of Transportation said. The railroad company is making repairs and weekend work may occur.

Flaggers will control traffic.
