Daley defeats Barli in 49th Legislative race

State Rep. Peter J. Daley easily defeated Democratic challenger Randy Barli in the Democratic primary in the 49th state House district, gathering about 70 percent of the vote. It is the sixth primary between the two. Daley, a 30-year legislator, will face Republican Donald “Bud” Cook in November.
