Five people stabbed at Charleroi bar

Charleroi Regional police are investigating an early-morning stabbing in the borough that injured five people.

Five people were stabbed in the doorway of the MD Bar at 731 McKean Ave., shortly before 2 a.m., police said.

Three of the victims were taken to Pittsburgh hospitals for treatment, police said. Investigators did not immediately release their names and conditions.

Officers are continuing to investigate what led to the stabbings and plan to review surveillance footage near the bar to identify a suspect.
