Police beat July 9
Criminal trespass: State police cited Angela Jacobs and Lindly Walker, both of Fredericktown, with criminal trespass following an altercation at 6:35 p.m. July 3 with Donna Presock at 112 Greene Street.
Harassment: Ernest Boyd Butler, 46, of Carmichaels, was charged with harassment June 28 after he allegedly spit in the face of Diana Lee Kronk, 48, also of Carmichaels, and then shoved her.
Equipment stolen: Clearwater Construction, Mercer, doing work at the Route 88 bridge near Carmichaels School District, reported to state police a Husqvarna chain saw, two Husqvarna quickie saws, two Champion generators and a backpack cement vibrator, were stolen at the construction site after midnight July 2.
Car stolen: Carolanne Toothman of Carmichaels told state police her 2002 Buick Regal sedan was stolen from her home on East Greene Street between 4 and 8 a.m. July 5. The vehicle is white and bears license plate HLX-7393.
Theft: State police said eight, 12-volt batteries were stolen from construction vehicles belonging to Ten Mile Paving, Washington, and Elite Oil Field Services, Waynesburg, while they were parked along Wayne Road July 2 and 3.
No injuries: State police said neither driver was injured when the cars they were driving collided at the intersection of High Street and Bonar Avenue at 7:30 p.m. July 3. Police said Casey Hart, 34, of Waynesburg, was traveling west in High Street and Dawn Melzer, 42, of Waynesburg, was traveling south on Bonar Avenue when Hart failed to stop at a red light, proceed through the intersection and strike the driver’s side rear door of Melzer’s vehicle. Police said Melzer had the green light.
Disorderly conduct: State police charged Kenneth Wayne Rhodes, 46, of Wind Ridge, with disorderly conduct after he allegedly threw firecrackers at the home of Nichole Renee Baker, 33, of Wheeling Creek Mobile Home Park, Wind Ridge, at 10 p.m. July 5.
Faces charges: State police said Jona Swisher, 36, of Washington, was charged with careless driving and taken for chemical testing after she lost control of her vehicle on Interstate 79 at 3:52 p.m. July 3, traveled into the median and back across the travel lanes before striking a hillside.
Man charged: Robert Eugene Monselle, 58, of Spraggs, was charged with possessing altered, forged or counterfeit documents and plates following a traffic stop July 1 on Smith Creek Road, Southwest Regional police said.
