CALIFORNIA

Theft charge: Michele Guerra-Berdis, 64, of California, was charged Tuesday with theft by California police. She is accused of stealing Vicodin from a friend’s home on Wilkins Street in late June. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.


Fleeing, traffic charges: Jerome Stewart, 31, of California, will be charged by California police with fleeing and eluding police and several traffic violations after he allegedly evaded police Monday in the 1200 block of Wood Street. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Joshua Kanalis.


CANONSBURG

Habitual offender charge: Salvatore Conte, 57, of 517 Moore Ave., Canonsburg, was charged Monday by Canonsburg police with being a habitual offender and driving under suspension after police said he was spotted June 16 driving a motor scooter near his home. The charges were filed at the office of District Judge David Mark.


Marijuana, paraphernalia charge: John G. Garlets, 18, of 325 E. Grant St., Houston, will be charged by Canonsburg police with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after he allegedly was found with the items in a parking lot in the 600 block of West Pike Street Monday. He waived immediate arraignment. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge David Mark.


CARROLL

Woman jailed: Doreen Gagnon, 55, of 1420 Maple Ave., Monongahela, is charged by township police with conspiracy and receiving stolen property for her alleged role in the theft of $123 worth of steaks from Giant Eagle, 1300 Country Club Road, about 12:30 p.m. June 16, court records state. She is in Washington County jail on $5,000 bond set Monday by District Judge Mark Wilson.


CHARTIERS

Wallet stolen: Eric Cunningham of Ford City told Chartiers police Thursday his wallet was stolen while he was at the Black and Gold bar on Pike Street. His debit card was used to make purchases at several locations.


NORTH STRABANE

Disorderly, threat charges: Jamie L. Lemons, 44, of 57 Sycamore St., Muse, was charged Monday by North Strabane police with terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after she allegedly created a disturbance Thursday in the emergency room at Canonsburg Hospital after being told she was too intoxicated to drive. She also allegedly threatened hospital security. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


Driver charged: Jerika Marie Lopez, 23, of 202 Russie Ave., Bentleyville, was charged by North Strabane police with driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a crash Saturday night in the 1700 block of Route 519. North Strabane police said they found Lopez walking in the 1600 block of Route 519. Lopez, who was placed in Washington County jail on an active warrant, also was charged with careless driving and leaving the scene of a crash. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


SOUTH STRABANE

Two charged: Jennifer Conley, 31, and Joseph Plovic, 30, of 1286 Sycamore St., Washington, were charged Monday by South Strabane police with retail theft, possessing instruments of a crime and conspiracy. They are accused of stealing items valued at $265 from Wal-Mart, Trinity Point, on June 3. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


Warrant arrest: Robert Jones, 43, of South Main Street, Washington, was taken into custody Monday on an Allegheny County warrant during a traffic stop in the 300 block of Washington Road, South Strabane police said. He was placed in Washington County jail.


DUI charge: Sarah Anne Dix, 24, of 1522 Amity Ridge Road, Washington, was charged Monday by state police with driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations stemming from a crash last month on Interstate 70 eastbound. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.


UNION

Illegal dumping: Southwest Regional police said a resident of Tuscany Estates, Union, reported July 2 that large items were being dumped on the hill by an occupant of a small red pickup truck. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-929-8484.


Criminal mischief: Sara Craig of Union Avenue, Union, told Southwest Regional police Friday that vandals damaged the rear door of her home.


Copper pipe stolen: Copper pipe was reported stolen during a July 2 burglary of a home on Patterson Road, Union, Southwest Regional police said.


Motorcycle crash: James Rager, 67, of Pittsburgh, was slightly injured Saturday when he crashed his motorcycle on Finleyville-Elrama Road, Union, Southwest Regional police said.


WASHINGTON

Woman assaulted: Howard W. Miller Jr., 40, of 145 W. Walnut St., Washington, is charged by city police with simple assault, accused of punching and choking Jill Whiteman in his residence about 6 p.m. Monday, court records state.


Disturbance report: Jason A. Simms, 28, of 780 Allison Ave., Washington, is charged by city police with public drunkenness, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with a disturbance about 11 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Jefferson Avenue, court records state.


Theft report: A 5,500-watt generator was reported stolen about 10:30 a.m. Monday from Atlantic Nitrogen, 975 Jefferson Ave., police said. A lock was cut on a shed door in order the steal the equipment.
