Pittsburgh police: Man shoots two suspects, kills one

PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh police say a man shot two others who forced their way into his apartment, killing one of them.

Police were still on the scene in the city’s Carrick neighborhood hours after the incident, which was reported about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say the man who lived in the apartment grabbed a shotgun and fired after the men broke in. One died and the other was taken to UPMC Mercy hospital.

The names of those involved and the condition of the wounded man were not immediately available.
