The Akron Racers erupted for six runs in the bottom of the fifth on the way to a 7-3 victory over the Pennsylvania Rebellion, extending their losing streak to four straight games.

The game televised by CBS Sports Network, was delayed nearly 30 minutes by poor weather.

The Rebellion took a 3-1 lead in the top of the second inning when Taylor Edwards doubled in one run and Breezy Hamilton cracked a two-run home run, her fourth of the year, off Akron starter Lisa Norris. That ended a 24-inning scoreless streak.

But Akron took the lead back in the bottom of the fifth when Nerissa Myers singled in one run and Jessica Garcia slapped a two-run triple. Kelly Montalvo drove in Garcia with a single and Taylor Schlopy smacked a two-run home run.

Myers opened the scoring with a home run in the bottom of the first, her eighth of the season, which ties her for second in the league.

Norris allowed three runs in seven innings and moved her record to 3-5. Sarah Pauly gave up five runs in 4 2/3 innings and fell to 4-10.
