Police beat Aug. 15
Window broken: Frances Havlin of Brook Avenue, Canton, told state police Wednesday vandals broke a window at her home.
Retail theft charge: Brenda M. Ramirez, 29, of 136 Monterrey Ave., Washington, will be charged by North Franklin police with retail theft after she allegedly put $144 in clothing in a baby buggy Tuesday and then left Macy’s, Washington Crown Center. The charge will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
False information: Michael Shane Hugo, 45, of 386 Yeager Road, Spraggs, will be charged Thursday by North Franklin police with providing false information on a firearms purchase application and unsworn falsification. He is accused of providing the false information on an application he filled out April 3 at Gander Mountain, Washington Crown Center. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Warrant arrest: Nichole Walters, 26, of 33 Hi-View Drive, was arrested Tuesday on a Washington County adult probation warrant after an incident at Route 837 and Ginger Hill Road that day. He was placed in Washington County jail.
Stolen items: Sheryl Giovanelli, of Richeyville, reported Wednesday a man broke out the rear window of her vehicle parked at 111 W. Spruce St., stole her laptop, iPad and purse and ran from the area, city police said. Police were unable to locate the man.
