Well site theft: State police reported a skid steerer was stolen from the Rice Energy Mojo well pad site, Amity Ridge Road, between 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday. Davenport Roustabout Services Inc. of Chandler, Okla., was renting the vehicle from United Rentals, Washington.


Burglary: One or more individuals came out of the woods by foot, broke into a PAG Electrical Service shed on Route 40, and took spools of specialty electrical wire before fleeing back through the woods, according to state police. The alleged incident occurred between 11 p.m. Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday. Police ask anyone with information to call 724-223-5200.


Theft reported: Items were stolen from the Lacock Street property of Mona Henry, 82, between 2 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday, state police reported.

Window smashed: Edward F. Reska, 55, reported to state police the rear window of his vehicle was smashed while parked at his Laddie Drive residence between early Friday and 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Police ask anyone with information to call 724-223-5200.


Crash injuries: Brenda L. Worstell, 34, of Burgettstown, was injured in a one-vehicle crash about 7:30 a.m. Sunday, state police reported. They said she was driving east on Eldersville Road, about 100 yards east of Danna Drive, when she failed to negotiate a right curve, left the roadway and hit an embankment. Washington Ambulance & Chair transported her to UPMC-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Department also assisted.


Assault charges at barracks: State police arrested a Fallowfield Township man at 11:40 p.m. Friday following an alleged assault of a trooper inside the lobby of the Washington barracks. Police said they had taken Anthony J. Stetz, 53, into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence, and as they were releasing him to his mother, he caused a commotion. As Trooper Jason Stenger attempted to escort the accused out of the building, police reported, Stetz broke free, pushed the trooper and elbowed him in the chest and shoulder. Stetz was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.


Theft: Southwest Regional Police reported someone entered the Toms Run Road residence of Floyd Phillips, 54, and Irmal Allen, 40, and stole medications Aug. 9 between 4 p.m. and midnight. Police ask anyone with information to call 724-929-8484 or leave a private message on the department’s Facebook page.
