BURGETTSTOWN

Liquor violation: Ashlend Inc., the operator of George’s Pub, 1300 Main St., was cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for allowing minors to frequent the business and serving alcohol to minors Oct. 10.


CANONSBURG

Pole, wires downed: A tractor-trailer driven by Anthony Fischels, 43, of Waterloo, Iowa, pulled down wires and snapped a utility pole Tuesday morning after making a delivery to Keystone Hardware, 617 W. Pike St., Canonsburg police said. He told police he made previous deliveries without any problems. Firefighters and police from Canonsburg and Chartiers and North Strabane townships assisted customers in moving vehicles away from the live wires until West Penn Power arrived to make repairs.


DONORA

Welfare fraud: Michelle McFarland, 32, of 465 Maderia St., New Eagle, is charged by the state office of inspector general with welfare fraud, court records state. She is accused of failing to report earnings to a welfare office in Donora while collecting $7,158 in food stamps and $632 in temporary aid between December 2012 and December 2013. She is free on $5,000 bond set Tuesday by District Judge Mark Wilson.
