Q. Someone told me that it is legal to drive a vehicle without a license as long as you are on private property. Is that true? 7/29/08
A. As long as you're not on a public road or traffic way, you don't need a driver's license. Example would be on a farm or private driveway.
Q. Is it legal to own a scanner in Washington County? 7/21/08
A. Yes, you can own a scanner in Washington County for the purpose of listening to police, fire and EMS calls.
Q. Is it illegal to back out onto a main road from a driveway or a parking lot? 7/7/08
A. There is a section in the vehicle code called Limitations on backing (3702): No driver shall back a vehicle unless the movement can be made with safety and without interfering with other traffic, and yielding the right of way to moving vehicles and pedestrians.
