Observer-Reporter

This article has been read 2286 times.

Q. With regard to crosswalks, do you have to stop for pedestrians if they're standing on the curb waiting to cross, or do you just have do stop for them if they've already started to cross the street within the lines of the crosswalk?9/23/09

A. If the pedestrian is in the crosswalk, you have to stop. Standing on the curb isn't considered within the crosswalk.
