Martha Assembly No. 11 of the International Order of Rainbow Girls is sponsoring a pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. June 6 at the Masonic Temple, 44 W. Wheeling St., Washington. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 2-11.

The annual Blue Ride co-sponsored by the Washington Lodge 164 F&AM and the Blue Knights Chapter XVI will be held July 26. Registration will be at the North Strabane Township Volunteer Fire Department from 9 to 11 a.m. with departure at 11:30 a.m. Cost for the ride is $20 for single and $30 double. Elks Lodge 776 will host a "Doo Wopping Good Time" with the Four Townsmen July 25 at the lodge at 138 E. Maiden St., Washington. The evening begins with hot appetizers at 6:30 p.m., followed by the performance, and ends with dancing from 10 p.m. to midnight with DJ Pete Povich. Tickets are available at the lodge. All proceeds will benefit Elks charities.

Washington Rotary Club awarded the following $500 grants: Polio PowerWalk, Common Ground Teen Center, Bradford House, Washington Women's Shelter, literary council, Citizens Library, Salvation Army, Washington City Mission, Interfaith Hospitality Network, Books for the World and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

New officers for the Bentleyville Lioness Club are Mildred Weir, president; Pat Heinz, first vice president; Becky Hrutkay, second vice president; Elaine Heinz, secretary; and Jean Wilson, treasurer. The club celebrated its 25th anniversary on May 2.

Washington Rotary Club will host the Rotary District 7330's Stamp Out Hunger campaign at a Washington Wild Things game July 11 at Consol Energy Park. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Bring a nonperishable food item. Tickets for the buffet can be purchased from any Rotary member.

Washington Rotary Club was named Club of the Year among larger clubs in the district. The club also received the Golden Quill award for its club bulletin.
