First Baptist Church, Clarksville, will observe Foreign Mission Day at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Richard Calloway, pastor of Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, Cardale. Dinner will be served before the church service.
Carmichaels Area Women's Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in Methodist Fellowship Hall in Carmichaels. Dr. Megan Bandish Shirley will be the guest speaker. Shirley, who recently opened a chiropractic office in Carmichaels, will speak about the benefits of chiropractics in women's health. All members are asked to attend and bring a guest.
Pennsylvania Department of Health, Greene County Health Center, 432 E. Oakview Drive, Waynesburg, will offer seasonal flu shots to coal miners, their spouses and the public by appointment only. For more information and to schedule an appointment, call 724-627-3168 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Do not leave messages on the answering machine after hours for appointments.
