It's Friday, Oct. 30, 75 degrees and sunny, maybe the last nice day of 2009. A beautiful day to get things done outdoors before old man winter sets in. So, where was the bridge crew that is doing repair work on the I-70 bridge at the West Alexander exit? Long weekend? You've got to be kidding. Take all the long weekends while the snow flies. Like the old saying goes: Make hay while the sun shines.

You would think that with the long detour involved, the idea would be to get the job done.

Maybe they are spending money on dubious projects instead of taking care of the ones that really need it.
