Sewer payments vanish into thin air
I kept checking to see if the check was ever cashed. It wasn't. I called and asked if it was received. "No" was my answer. I was also told that this happens to a lot of people, not only to me.
I kept checking to see if it was ever cashed; it wasn't. Then last week I received a notice saying my water would be turned off for not paying the sewer bill. So I wrote another check for the bill they didn't get and the new one.
It was mailed. I also enclosed a little note saying please, if the first check comes through in the amount of $23.45, shred it. Do not cash it.

I was again told than this happens to a lot of people, then sometimes months later the bills arrive. But in the meantime they are sending me past-due notices and charging me late fees for the payments I made.
I said, "Can I come down to the borough office and pay in person. "No," only through the drop-box out front.
Canonsburg, what are you doing with the money for the bills? Do you not have a system of debit and credit? Or do you just like sending out those notices?
You rarely get to talk to a person, it is usually a machine, and when you leave a message, you never get a return call.
Come on, Canonsburg, get your act together.

sewer bill : 11/4/2009
my bill always shows the last on time payment was last month...then this month there is a late charge...their answer to that one is the always popular " I dont know" followed by the typical "you must have been late" and shortly thereafter that pretty pink shut off notice...almost every month...and on a side note I now use their drop box due to missing payments, and have not lost one since

I have a $60 bill this month when I KNOW I sent the last two payments. What is going on!!!
