MEADOW LANDS – The Meadows Racetrack & Casino said Monday it has postponed Tuesday’s previously announced job fair and talent show at the Meadow Lands Holiday Inn because of an expected snowstorm.

The event has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Tuesday’s show has been rescheduled for 3 to 9 p.m. Feb. 16. Both events will be held at the Holiday Inn, 340 Racetrack Road.

“With people still recovering from this weekend’s storm and another storm approaching, this is a time to focus on the safety of our employees, guests and emergency crews in the surrounding communities,” said Sean Sullivan, vice president and general manager of The Meadows.

The events are being held for people interested in becoming dealers for the casino's table games that will be added later this year.

In addition to providing a resume, each applicant will be given a 30-second audition, and those who impress Meadows officials will be selected to participate in The Meadows table games school. People can do anything they want for their audition, whether it's a magic trick, singing a song or telling a funny story.

The Meadows expects to hire hundreds of new employees as it prepares to add about 65 table games to its casino in about six to nine months. People also are encouraged to go The Meadows' Web site at www.meadowsgaming.com to apply for table games positions.
