Fire destroys Buffalo Township house

A fire destroyed a house in Buffalo Township this morning.
Firefighters were called about 10:30 to a split-entry home at 504 Rural Valley Road.
A woman was in the home at the time, but escaped, said Claysville fire Chief Dave Hilderbrand. She was taken to a local hospital. Two dogs perished in the fire.
Claysville, Canton and North Franklin fire companies responded, along with Washington County Emergency Management Assistance and Washington Ambulance and Chair Service.
