Superior court upholds drug conviction
Workman was convicted by a jury in June 2007 of one count each of possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and delivery of a controlled substance; and two counts each of possession of a controlled or counterfeit substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled or counterfeit substance and delivery of a controlled or counterfeit substance.
She was sentenced to 45 months to 7 1/2 years in prison.
Trial testimony indicated on two occasions in July 2006 in Cumberland Township, Workman sold Fentanyl patches, a prescription painkiller, as well as counterfeit drugs to an informant working with the Greene County Drug Task Force. Workman sold several pills as Percocet, another pain medication, but the pills were later found to be counterfeit.

Her co-defendant, Shirl M. Rogers, was acquitted based on evidence Rogers did not leave the vehicle and was not present at the vehicle of the confidential informant when the exchange of the drugs and money took place.
Workman argued that no one testified they saw her with drugs, saw her deliver drugs or take money, and that the prosecution failed to prove she committed the crimes beyond a reasonable doubt.
The court said the record reflects there was ample evidence presented to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Workman committed the crimes.
"The confidential informant testified her involvement with the Greene County Drug Task Force and the purchases of controlled substances from the confidential informant," the court said.
The confidential informant explained the process of setting up the drug purchases over the phone, the details of where the purchases would occur, the fact Workman was driven to the purchase site by a man in a pickup truck and at the completion of the drug transactions, Workman left the scene in the back of the truck.
"Given the totality of the circumstances, the Commonwealth presented sufficient evidence to establish that (Workman) possessed contraband in question with the intention to deliver and did deliver those items to the confidential informant," the court said.

is where the Evergreen Mobile Home Park is. I live in Greensboro and there are no trailer parks here - seems we always get the "credit" of the townships more illustrious residents. Shame too as it drags down all of the other hard work these people have been doing these past 35 years to "not be" a lost and deteriorating community.
