A Finleyville woman died in a one-vehicle crash early this morning on Route 136 near Meek Lane, Somerset Township.

Kathy Jean Paul, 62, of Route 88, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:10 a.m., according to Washington County Coroner S. Timothy Warco. The cause of death is pending an autopsy.

Paul, the sole occupant, was driving west when the car began to swerve, crossed the eastbound lane and hit a utility pole, according to information provided to state police by witnesses.
