The man wanted for Sunday's armed robbery of the Finleyville Sunoco gasoline station and convenience store was apprehended early this morning in Baden, Beaver County, after a tip from a pizza store clerk.

Joseph William Keillor, 23, was taken into custody at about 1:30 a.m. at the home of his mother, Shawn Ziner, at 950 Phillip Street, Baden.

Monongahela police had issued a a warrant for his arrest late Tuesday after numerous tips from people who saw the surveillance photo of the suspect that was distributed to the media. Keillor was believed to be from the Bethel Park area.

Monongahela police are crediting a man working at a local pizza shop in Ambridge for the tip that led to Keillor's arrest.

The man contacted Ambridge police around 12:30 a.m. Thursday stating that he had seen the picture of the suspect wanted in the robbery and that he was undoubtedly the same man he had seen inside the shop Wednesday night getting an order.

The informant gave police enough reason to believe that Keillor was at his mother's house.

Ambridge police contacted Monongahela officer Lindsi Kopko, who is investigating the case. Officer Kopko supplied Ambridge police with a street name at which Keillor's mother is known to reside.

An Ambridge officer then searched the mother's name in his database at the police department and was able to obtain a house number.

Baden and Ambridge police went to the home and were able to take Keillor into custody without incident. He was asleep when they entered the house and and did not resist.

Keillor is being held at Beaver County Jail until after the Thanksgiving holiday, and will then be transferred to Washington County.
