Manning, Staniszewski leading in city council race

Democrat Joe Manning and Republican Matt Staniszewki were victorious Tuesday, both winning four-year term seats on Washington City Council.

According to unofficial election results with all precincts reporting, Manning got 1.043 of the 2,634 votes cast; Staniszeski got 924 votes.

Manning won his first term in office while this will be Staniszewksi's second term.

Incumbent Republican Virginia Ullom finished out the race with 652 votes.

Current rating:
Ullom, who switched her party affiliation in February from Democrat to Republican, was seeking her fourth term in office.
