Cumberland Township police had been called to the home Friday afternoon. The mobile home sits next to the Crucible Post Office along the main road into the village.
Ron Stoffa of Carmichaels, who owns the mobile home, said Friday that Baker has only been renting from him since the beginning of October. She lived in the home with her young son.
“She’s a good renter; she took good care of the place,” he said.
Stoffa said Baker worked at the county jail and had previously lived in Nemacolin. He said that she also had told him she was getting a divorce from her husband.

So many lives are ruined by such a horrible act of violence. What is wrong with people? When someone makes a decision that they no longer want you in their life it is usually because of the other persons behavior and character. Clearly this woman was right in wanting this man out of her life but instead of the man moving on and trying to better himself he ruined his life and his families, not to mention ended the life of a young woman and stole her from her family. Truely disgusting. I feel terrible for the families hurt by this tragedy.

This person deserves to be put to death. He has ruined enough lives. He is not worth the air that he breathes.
I know these TWO PPL : 11/22/2009
OH MY WORD i cant beleave i use to work with both of them at Right Way and we worked with kids to try and get them back on track. Milssa was a great person she did a lot of good with the kids. She was fun loveing and never stopped. Its sad that such a terrible thing could happen to a good person. And another thing that is crazy is that you would never think that Scott would ever do such a thing. It really makes you wonder who ppl really are. And how easy is it for ppl to work with kids i mean we had to have clearences and everything. Wow this really makes me think. Im so sad inside for Melissa's family Justice will be served and my heart goes out to you. Rachel

It is still hard to believe that there are people out in this world that actually could harm and even kill.I say save my tax dollars and don't even provide this monster a trial. He did it and he knew that he was going to do it in advance. What a shame that that the two children no longer will have a parent in there lives , and the friends of Melissa will no longer see her smile or here her brag about her beautiful baby boy
