The Observer-Reporter’s Newspaper in Education (NiE) program is an educational partnership with schools in Washington and Greene counties (PA).
Minnie & Moo: The Seven Wonders of the World
The story of Minnie and Moo is presented only in the Observer-Reporter’s print edition every Tuesday from Sept. 8 through Nov. 17. Full of clever word play and funny dialogue, "Minnie and Moo in The Seven Wonders of the World" is a gentle, hilarious spoof about those who are gullible.
Newspapers Plus
Newspapers Plus is available on O-R online September 2009 through May 2010, and in the print edition of the Observer-Reporter from Nov. 24 through Jan. 5.
Shortcuts
"Shortcuts" by Jeff Harris is a fact-packed page that makes learning fun. Each week, Shortcuts' multicultural cast offers facts, riddles, jokes and puzzles to help students learn about science, geography, animals, food, history and holidays. Each teaching guide provides ideas for expanding the lesson and creating discussion and learning activities for students.
