CANONSBURG

Woman robbed: Alayna Weisner of Canonsburg told borough police a white man driving a white sport utility vehicle pulled up beside her about 8:30 p.m. Thursday on Strawberry Alley and stole $40 out of her hand.

PETERS TOWNSHIP

Driver charged: Jeremy Halligan was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana during a traffic stop at 8:21 p.m. Thursday, township police said.

Halligan, 32, of Prosperity Pike, Prosperity, was stopped in the 4000 block of Washington Road. His blood-alcohol content was 0.15 percent. The state presumes intoxication at 0.08 percent. During a search of his car, police found suspected marijuana. Halligan was released on his own recognizance.

SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP

Burglary attempt: Carl Proper Jr. told township police he returned to his residence at 3108 Stone Creek Lane about 8:45 a.m. Friday and found pry marks on the front door. Nothing was missing from the house, police said.

WASHINGTON

Assault charge: Ledean Williams, 29, of 68 Sumner Ave., Washington, is facing a charge of simple assault, accused of striking Ashley Thompson about 3 a.m. Thursday at 126 Hall Ave., Washington, court records show.

Items stolen: Aubrey Tokar of 860 Addison St., Washington, told city police her residence was entered through a locked back door between 8:50 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Thursday. She had yet to complete an inventory of her stolen possessions Friday, police said.

Man beaten: Charles Russell, 31, of 2360 Jefferson Ave., Washington, is facing charges of simple assault, accused of repeatedly striking Francis Dobbin III on the head about 1:50 a.m. Oct. 4 outside a bar on Henderson Avenue, court records show.

Weapon pulled: Daryl Hockett Jr., 28, of Pittsburgh, is facing charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct, court records show. City police accuse him of aiming a shotgun at Daryl Hockett in Maple Terrace August 15.
