Washington County Police Beat 11/1/2009

EAST FINLEY TOWNSHIP

One hurt: Erik L. Renner, 36, of West Finley, received minor injuries when his vehicle rolled over on Route 231 Friday afternoon.

State police said Renner apparently lost control of his vehicle while traveling southbound, which struck an embankment and overturned.

Vehicles collide: James D. Faure, 35 of Marianna, received minor injuries after his vehicle collided with one operated by Margaret Markoff, 84, also of Marianna, Tuesday.

State police said the accident occurred at Routes 2020 and 885. Several children in Faure's vehicle escaped injury and all were wearing seat belts.

MONONGAHELA

Business cited: The Pittsburgh office of the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement is charging Eldorado, at 1109 Route 837, with gambling violations stemming from an incident April 19.

The business is charged with possessing or operating gambling devices or permitting gambling on its premises.

The matter will be brought before an administrative law judge.

SOMERSET TOWNSHIP

Driver cited: Timothy P. Artis, 48, of Latrobe, was cited by state police following a two-car accident on Route 519 Friday afternoon.

Police said Artis' vehicle collided with a vehicle operated by Sonya L. Elliott, 27, of Eighty Four, driving in the opposite direction. Elliott received minor injuries.
