AMWELL TOWNSHIP

Door damaged: Vandals damaged a steel entry door on a portable storage building at a gas well site at 1453 Amity Ridge Road, Amwell, Saturday, state police said. The site is owned by Range Resources of Canonsburg.

CALIFORNIA

Harassment charge: Nicholas Jose Giansante, 19, of Pittsburgh, will be charged by California police with failure to stop for a school bus discharging students and harassment stemming from an Oct. 21 incident. He is accused of making obscene gestures to the bus driver and students on the bus at least two times after the initial incident, police said.

Bar cited: The operators of Rye's Bar and Restaurant, 246 Old National Pike, California, were cited by the state police Bureau of Liquor Control and Enforcement with allowing smoking in a public place where smoking is prohibited. The violation occurred Sept. 7.

CANONSBURG

Bike stolen: Jesse Lewandowski of 752 Glenn St., Canonsburg, told Canonsburg police Saturday that his dark-blue Pacifica mountain bike was stolen from behind the Dumpster at Wendy's, Cavasina Drive. He put the bike there while he was working.

Mirror stolen: Gloria Malesky of Bridgeville told Canonsburg police Friday that the mirror on the driver's side of her vehicle was stolen while it was parked on East Pike Street.

CANTON TOWNSHIP

DUI charge: Aaron Young, 20, of Canonsburg, faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia stemming from an Oct. 25 sobriety checkpoint on Route 844, Canton, state police said Tuesday.

Computer stolen: Justin Ankrom of Monarch Avenue, Canton, told state police that his netbook computer was stolen from his vehicle Friday.

Assault charge: Ronald Gallo of Washington will be charged with simple assault and harassment for allegedly punching Amber Wilkins in the face during a confrontation Friday on Jefferson Avenue, Canton, state police said.

Vandalism reported: Vandals painted graffiti on a vehicle owned by TEI Analytical, West Point Drive, Canton, Monday, state police said.

FALLOWFIELD TOWNSHIP

Trespass charge: Warren Demoss, 47, of Charleroi, was charged by Fallowfield police with criminal trespass after he was found Saturday on posted private property on Debner Lane.

Man charged: Braxton M. Sloan, 21, of Bentleyville, was charged with criminal trespass after he was found Sunday night in the Alta Vista Business Park, Kennedy Road, Fallowfield police said. Sloan was found in a vehicle at the end of Vista

Drive.

MONONGAHELA

Decorations stolen: Monongahela police said Halloween decorations valued at several hundred dollars were stolen late Monday or early Tuesday from several homes in the Mounds and Fourth Street areas of the city. Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call police at 724-258-5511.

NORTH FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP

Underage drinking: A 15-year-old North Franklin boy was charged with underage drinking after allegedly creating a disturbance at his grandmother's home at 861 Park Ave. about 6:20 p.m. Sunday, North Franklin police said. The boy told police he drank three beers given to him by his uncle.

Teen in custody: A 15-year-old Washington boy was taken into custody Thursday after he was seen by a Washington police officer walking along Franklin Farms Road, North Franklin police said. The boy was wanted by city police after he reportedly cut off a home monitor from his ankle earlier in the day. He was taken to Jefferson County (Ohio) Juvenile Detention Center.

NORTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP

Gun recovered: North Strabane police said a .22-caliber handgun reported stolen by a township resident in April 1985 was recovered Sunday by police in Anderson, S.C. Details of the recovery were not immediately available.

Items stolen: Harold Mace of 1094 Route 519 told North Strabane police Friday that silver dollars, half dollars, quarters, gold coins, a gold ring and gold chain were stolen from his home.

PETERS TOWNSHIP

Van damaged: A driver on Old Washington Road between Moccasin and Carol drives told police something struck the roof of his van as he drove at 7:59 p.m. Friday.

The van had damage to the middle of its roof, but the driver was not injured, police said. No object was found.

Money stolen: A man withdrew $210 from his bank account and left the money in his unlocked vehicle parked in the rear of the Goodwill store, Washington Road, McMurray, at 1 p.m. Monday, township police said.

The money was reported stolen at 7:38 p.m. the same evening, police said. There was no sign of forced entry.

SOUTH STRABANE TOWNSHIP

Driver injured: Robin W. Hixenbaugh, 22, of Washington, was slightly injured when his vehicle crashed into a tractor-trailer driven by John R. Price, 30, of

McKeesport, on Interstate 70 westbound near the Jefferson Avenue exit, state police said. Hixenbaugh refused treatment for back pain.

UNION TOWNSHIP

Criminal mischief: Christopher S. Casteel of Finleyville reported to state police that the rear window of his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado was damaged while it was parked at 4229 Finleyville-Elrama Road between 8:30 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. Friday.

Theft: State police reported that items were stolen from vehicles belonging to Michael R. Tatar and John P. Tatar, both of Monongahela, while the vehicles were parked in a lot behind Finleyville-Elrama Road, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Thursday.

WASHINGTON

Charged with theft: Cheryn Isbell, 55, of 272 N. Franklin St., Washington, was charged by Washington police with felony retail theft for allegedly stealing food and newspapers Friday from Shop 'n Save, 125 W. Beau St.

Three face charges: Kevin Partozoti, 21, of 4184 Route 40, Claysville, and Amanda Lennox, 21, and Cheyenne Lennox, 18, both of 345 E. Prospect Ave., Washington, all face charges stemming from a "cops and shops" detail at Chicken Charlie's, 501 Jefferson Ave., on Friday.

Washington police saw Amanda Lennox, who appeared intoxicated, give money to Partozoti to purchase alcohol. When they got back outside to their car, police approached. Partozoti ran from police and was caught a short distance away. He was wanted on a warrant.

Amanda Lennox and Cheyenne Lennox face liquor law violation charges.

Theft charge: Leland Samples, 32, of 5 Sawmill Lane, Hickory, faces a charge of theft after allegedly stealing $95 from the purse of Danielle Gauthier Saturday, Washington police said.

Computer stolen: Cheryl Putnam of 740 McKinley Ave. told Washington police Saturday that a Dell laptop computer was stolen from her home.
