About 'The Picture Box'
Western Pennsylvania and its people have been captured on camera for 150 years. Some of those photos are too good not to be shared. This is a daily gallery from the archives of area historical societies and the O-R, and photos retrieved from boxes in basements and attics. They tell a story of who we are and how we came to be. Do you have a photo you'd like to share? Send your photo to orphotos@yahoo.com and give as much detail as possible. 'Picture Box' should be the subject of your email.Previous Posts

Might well be from the 1913 Cincinnati Mine explosion out that way.
